1 1/2 cups butter
1 pound fresh shrimp
1 large onion, sliced
3 tablespoons juice from parsley
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
8 fresh shrimp steaks, peeled and deveined
7 slices bacon, chopped
Lay shrimp on a medium saucepan. Heat butter in large skillet over medium heat. When butter is melted, pour onion and vegetable juice in small serving bowl; cover skillet. Remove shrimp from pan. Place on ice; place skillet over medium heat, and cook, turning once, for 5 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Remove from skillet.
Stir Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, basil, shrimp and bacon into skillet. Transfer to skillet. Continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until shrimp are opaque. Serve over shrimp.
