Pasta and Veggie Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

1 (16 ounce) can tomato paste

1 onion, chopped

2 (16 ounce) cans tomato paste, drained

1 (16 ounce) can tomato paste with green chile peppers

1/2 (15 ounce) can tomato paste with green chile peppers

1 (16 ounce) bottle Italian-style salad dressing

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

Directions

Layer the beef into a large skillet and brown with the tomato paste, onion and tomato paste. Drain excess fat, add the tomato paste, tomato paste with green chile peppers, tomato paste with green chiles and Italian-style salad dressing.

Brown the meat in a medium skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat (except for water), leaving about 1/2 inch of liquid. Mix with the tomato sauce, tomato paste with chiles, tomato paste with Italian dressing and Worcestershire sauce. Stir constantly.

Note: Place a plate on a platter, upside down, and flatten with a fork. Serve burger at this point in the evening.
