Fruit Chutney in a Bottle Recipe

Ingredients

1 pint orange juice

1 quart lemon juice

1 quart cider vinegar

3 tablespoons molasses

1 cup ice

Directions

In a small glass bottle or pitcher, combine orange juice, lemon juice, and cider vinegar. Stir to mix. Cover, and refrigerate for 24 hours.

In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice, lemon juice, and molasses. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until boiling. Stir in the ice. Pour into the glass bottle or pitcher and stir until thoroughly chilled and thickened.

I tweaked the recipe enough that it was my own creation. I only used 2 cloves of garlic, added 1/2 tsp. dried dill, and 1/2 tsp. dried fennel. I did the same thing to the sauce as it said, I mean, doubled the flour, doubled the baking time, tripled the onions, minced garlic, and red pepper. I loved it, and will make it again!

Wonderful... I added a drop of red, added a splash of red wine, and reserved a ton of Basil for last night. This is really good, great texture, delicious, and will definately be in our regular rotation.
