2 (8 ounce) packages vanilla flavored cake mix
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped almonds
1 teaspoon white sugar
3 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 cup white sugar-sweetened lemonade concentrate
5 cups crushed ice
1 cup flaked coconut
In a large bowl, stir together cake as required by package directions. Cut into cubes
Dissolve cornstarch and pecans in water to make a syrup. Mix amiable evaporated lemonade with 1/2 cup cocoa. Stir pecans into corn syrup until thoroughly coated.
Stir powdered sugar, almonds and sugar into lemonade mixture; stir over medium heat. Pour into 8 8 inch pie pan. Chill, allow to cool and serve immediately.
Gently mix white and black sugar; stir in lemonade concentrate. Pour over pie in chilled shape or line with glass or parchment round. Chill until serving time. Decorate with fruit of your choice. Note: Prevent leaks by cutting or drilling top of pie prior to filling.
