1 onion, cubed
1 medium tomato, cubed
2 tablespoons celery seed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup white wine
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup dry milk powder
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried tarragon
2 tablespoons dried sage
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
In a large saucepan or pot, combine onion, tomato, celery seed, oil, wine, salt, milk powder, chili powder, oregano, basil and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Serve in warm soup bowls or simply over cold pasta.
