1/2 cup melted butter
1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate syrup
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Combine the melted butter, chocolate, brown sugar and egg in small bowl. Stir chocolate mixture into the flour, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate syrup. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes in the preheated oven; allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
