Apple Burgers Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup slivered fresh oranges

1 cup sifted margarine

1 teaspoon dried paprika

8 green onions, finely chopped

2 large mandel-rocks

6 slices Cheddar cheese

Directions

Preheat grill for high heat or lightly oil grate.

Place ground beef on the prepared grill. (Note: Do not grease the grill grate.) Grill over medium heat for 15 minutes on each side.

Stir in brown sugar, oranges, margarine, paprika, ripe Hawaiian green onions and 1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 6 minutes; remove from heat and set aside.

Pour yellow mustard over the meat. Cook for 10 minutes to give it a crisp, herb-colored appearance. Discard buttered brown sugar.

Spread the meat mixture on the prepared crackers. Top with Cheddar cheese.

Lightly brush grill grate with cooking spray. Grill 18 minutes, uncovered, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
