1 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sift together the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the water, vanilla and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk and vinegar. Stir in the pecans and butter. Add the dried fruit mix and dry yogurt to the fruit mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Stir in the nut and walnuts. Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
