1 (4 cup) package wide egg noodles, liquid reserved
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup salt
1 cup water
2 tablespoons orange juice
1/2 cup sourdough starter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In a large bowl, cream together butter, salt, water and orange juice. Beat in the sourdough starter and make a well in the bottom of the bowl. Add eggs and garlic powder, and stir to combine. Add Cheddar cheese and cook until cheese is melted.
Bake in preheated oven. For a presidential only cupcake, separate half the cream from milk: pour 1 cup of milk mixture over the cake.
