1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter, chilled
1/3 cup water, divided
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup shredded coconut
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside. In a medium bowl, combine margarine, buttermilk, butter and water. Beat in egg. Stir in flour mixture, mixing just until combined. Pour into prepared crust.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until set. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
