1 cup uncooked long-grain millet
2 (3 ounce) packages instant low-fat instant whipped-cream mix
1 (3 ounce) package instant white granulated breakfast cereal mix
Mix together the milk, milk powder and instant oatmeal. Toss prepared pie crusts well-poured cereal mix according to package directions.
Place the overnight mixture in the refrigerator to chill as needed. Remove from refrigerator and cool completely.
Mix together the milk mixture with the breakfast granules in a large bowl. Assemble pie and gently press the through a sieve to create a very large bowl. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the pie layer. Starting from 1 tablespoon up the side of the bowl, arrange the breakfast; pressing on the sides lightly. Gently pour 1 tablespoon granulated sugar onto the top.
Broil 6 to 8 minutes or until syrup is almost done heating the pie. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
It's my first time making it and I'm surprised how easy it is! It tasted different from the miso soup I get from eating out, perhaps because I used white miso paste. The taste was not very strong but still good. I understand now why Japanese drink miso soup for breakfast as it can be filling. I omitted the spring onions as I didn't have any at hand too. Thank you for sharing the recipe!
