Italian Sara's Heart Healthy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients

1 (1 pound) whole chicken

1 small onion, diced

4 cloves garlic, peeled, divided

2 tablespoons dried sage

1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

3 whole tomatoes, chopped

1 (12 fluid ounce) can condensed tomato soup

Directions

In an slow cooker, place the whole chicken, onion, garlic and sage and mix well. Place remaining ingredients in the bottom of the slow cooker.

Cover with water, and set to cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. Boil chicken, turning occasionally, until no longer pink. Drain off juices, and season to taste with salt, pepper, and seasoning blend.

This is very good and very easy to make. I substituted lemon for the orange and added my egg white. It was still pretty thin so maybe next time I'll add another teaspoon of lemon.
