4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 teaspoons canned minced onion
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste
In a large saucepan, melt the oil over medium heat. Saute the onions and garlic for about 3 minutes, or until tender. Stir in the wine and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
