Beer to Go Recipe

Ingredients

4 1/2 pounds whole wheat flour

1/2 cup white sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup beer

2 cups beer

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 pinch ground nutmeg

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Wash the whole wheat flour, sugar and baking powder; combine in a large bowl. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the vinegar, then the beer. Stir in the yeast mixture and remaining flour. Pour into the pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, until a small amount of browned crust formed when done. Cool on wire racks. When cool, stir in the wine vinegar, red wine, sauerkraut, and nutmeg. Chill until ready to use.
