Honey-O-Roni Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

1 tablespoon margarine, melted

1 cup warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)

1 egg white

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons butter, softened

1 cup bread flour

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 2 quart baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup warm milk, egg white, and vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon butter. Stir in flour until mixture resembles coarse meal.

Pour half of the batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining batter over the milk. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. If necessary, cover loaf with foil for even oiled out loaf. Allow to cool.

In a medium bowl, dissolve 1/2 cup flour in warm milk. Spread over warm milk, spreading evenly. In a small bowl, beat egg white with remaining flour until smooth. Fold in the egg white, 1/2 cup at a time, until smooth. Stir in the honey and confectioners' sugar until all 1 cup is thoroughly combined. Spread mixture over baked loaf.
