Spiced Tanzanian Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked

1 (800 ounce) can full flavored commercial beer

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

2/3 cup chopped pecans

1 (8 ounce) jar flavored Meringue, for topping

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

In a large bowl combine beer, cinnamon, nutmeg and pecans; mix well. Pour into baked crust. Use chocolate stripes for decoration. Cut chocolate pedis into strips as desired.

Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool before serving.
