Fruit Tuna Dessert Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup fruit flavored Jell-O mix

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

1/2 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed

1/2 (22 ounce) can cherry pie filling

1 (7 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

2 (8 ounce) packages frozen M&M's

Directions

In a large bowl, whip together gelatin, lemon juice, frozen whipped topping and cherry pie filling. Spread mixture over gelatin mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Prepare frozen filling according to package directions and freeze mixture according to package directions.

Scoop filling into pastry shell. Invert pastry onto parchment lined baking sheet. Open pie crust, remove and set top aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and press down on pie button to flatten. Tyvek spatula or pastry bag to lift over rim of pie pan. If necessary, shape shape filling into pie crust shape.

In a medium bowl, dissolve gelatin and lemon juice in cold water. Using an electric mixer, beat in whipped topping. Add cherry pie filling and mix until well blended. Spread over gelatin mixture and sprinkle top with remaining m&m's. Crumble over moistened pie. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
