3 1/4 cups ground potatoes
2 1/4 cups water
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 cup chopped dried onion flakes and 1/2 cup chopped cooked potatoes
3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large saucepan bring potatoes and water to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix milk, salt, thyme, basil, parsley, oregano and onion flakes in a large bowl. Pour over potatoes and potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
Place potatoes into a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a medium bowl, whisk together potatoes, milk mixture and salt, and whisk potatoes into milk mixture. Pour potato mixture over potatoes and pour milk mixture over potatoes.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake until potatoes spring back when lightly touched, about 1 hour or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
