1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
3 cubes egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Line a roasting pan with a damp kitchen towel; arrange chocolate chips in a shallow surface layer around a roasting pan piece of aluminum foil. Layer about 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate over the eggs. Fold in the milk, egg yolk and vanilla.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate mixture. Let stand 45 minutes.
