I didn't cook the loaves in a water bath because I didn't have any. I uncovered the loaves and noticed that they were very cool. I put them into an ice bath and followed the recommendations of 3 o'clock news. The next morning I turned them over and over in the ice bath hoping that might help. No luck. Maybe I'll have to find a different brand of ice cream to use. I noticed that my cream was running low on the ice cream maker so I didn't add anything. I may try dipping the loaves in milk first to see what it looks like. I'm sure I'll be forgiven that I didn't add anything special. I used plain old fresh white bread for this. I may try dipping the loaves in cream cheese powder next time too.
