1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, stir together flour and shortening. In a separate bowl, combine eggs and milk. Stir egg mixture into flour mixture. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before frosting.
