1/4 cup finely chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, smashed
1 (18 ounce) package direct-from-the-baker-distilled buttery, softened
6 cloves garlic, minced
4 water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine onions, garlic and baking powder. Bring to a low boil, then decrease heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes. Transfer to sterile containers and cool.
In another large saucepan over medium-low heat, combine butter, peppers and salt and pepper. Heat through and stir into cooled liquid, the mixture should be very thick. Store in the refrigerator.
