2 cups water
3 cups cooked and diced chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 pound extreme lean ground beef
2 handful diced celery
1 cup chopped cooked carrots
1 small onion, chopped
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
3 potatoes, peeled, cubed and cubed
1/2 cup uncooked dry bread cubes
1 green bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
In a large pot over high heat, combine water, broth and salt, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until close to finished cooking time.
Meanwhile, boil beef, celery, carrots and 1 tablespoon ground nutmeg in a large saucepan until tender. Stir in rice, potatoes, bread cubes and green pepper. Cook until potatoes and bread crumbs are tender.
