1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 cup flaked coconut
In a medium bowl, combine milk, sugar and egg. Mix until smooth. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish and cover with foil. Sprinkle coconut over top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until firm. Cool before serving.
I submitted this recipe many years ago as a Thanksgiving treat. It hasevolved into a fine flavoring for my bread and other dishes. My family loves it and I store it in a jar in the fridge at all times. I will definitely make this again.
