1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups Rye flour
2/3 cup water
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sour cream, rye flour, water and egg. By adding this mixture, we are steaming the chai. Gradually add salt, stirring constantly, until the chai is 1 inch thick. the dough will be thick.
Turn heat to low, and grease 9x13 inch baking dish. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch in thickness, about 10 minutes. Cut into 3/4 inch circle slices with a knife. Place pieces in prepared baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool and slice into rounds.
