1/2 cup vanilla butterscotch spread
1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons regular egg substitute (optional)
1/2 cup fresh fruit - peeled, cored and chopped (optional)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 (10.5 ounce) package frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed (optional)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line baking sheets with foil and grease a 4 1/4 inch square pan.
In a medium bowl, stir together butterscotch and butter. Stir in sugar, egg, and whipped topping. Mix well. Spread mixture evenly into pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together sandwich crumbs and salt. Spread mixture over bottom of prepared pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until set. Cool completely.
are these really good I made them myself I.e. no baking powder or chocolate chips. I put them in a 350 degree oven for 8 mins they came out of the oven just as my husband expected. I.e. he put them in the middle for him to eat. They were a smash hit. MyTHANK YOU.
