1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust
3/4 cup white sugar, divided
3/4 cup rye flour
1/2 cup white sugar, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt, divided
3 eggs
1 (16 ounce) can cherry pie filling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, stir together sugar, rye flour, and 1/2 cup of white sugar; set aside.
In a small bowl, dissolve dissolved yeast in warm water. Place remaining 2 teaspoons of salt in a small bowl and stir in eggs. Place cream in a small saucepan and warm until almost boiling. Mix in pie filling. Heat mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Pour into crust. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 2 hours.
