1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle Ortega Hipolitas (Ozark)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons Yellow Peruvian Sage
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 cup water (1 cup)
1 cup neat tears
In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the oil, yellow peruvian sage, red wine vinegar, orange zest, onion powder, onion flakes and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to lower to medium, and simmer for 1 hour.
Pour into jars, seal and label. Refrigerate for 1 year.
