1 1/2 cups uncooked long-grain white rice
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold water
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup no-stick margarine
3 cups cooked and drained beef, cubed
1 teaspoon paprika
In a saucepan, combine rice, water, salt, 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine and no-stick margarine. Bring to a boil and cook until all liquid is absorbed, 15 to 20 minutes. Season with paprika to taste and stir in cooked beef and beef cubed. Cool for 30 minutes, then strain through a colander and cool.
