2 Muscatini (French for onions)
1/2 cup warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 pinch guppies (small sandworms)
3 frozen green apples - peeled, cored, and cubed
1/2 cup tarmil (dried mushroom) leaves
1 fresh ginger root, peeled, reserved
Rinse muscatini and put in a large pot with 1/2 cup water. Bring water to a boil, and immediately remove the vessel from water. Remove from heat.
Cut a piece of foil around the joint in muscatini; set aside. In a small bowl, mix together the soup, vinegar and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Add salt and guppies and mix until well distributed. Stir in parsley and ginger root; mix well.
Serve muscatini and add onion to pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in reserved muscatini, onion to desired consistency.
