4 cups blackberries
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup butter, softened
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Combine the cooked blackberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar and lemon juice.
In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, salt, cinnamon, cloves and 1/2 cup butter. Mix well, then pour into baking pan.
Bake in preheated oven until golden brown and set in center, 45 to 55 minutes.
