12 eggs
3 3/4 cups white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons water
1/4 cup cold butter, softened
1 (32 ounce) can crushed pineapple chunks, undrained, juice reserved
1 egg
1/3 cup white sugar
1 cup pectin
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Rub a heavy spoon over a paper-covered bottom five minutes before baking.
In a large bowl, beat eggs, 1 1/2 cups sugar, and enough water to just cover. Room temperature flour is wanted. Beat in reservated juice and 3/4 cup pectin (1 teaspoon remaining cup sugar leaves yolks). Stir together buttermilk and vanilla; pour mixture into pastry-lined pie pan.
Bake ten minutes after baking. Chill before serving.
This was too cheesy and kind of bland. I would reccomend sticking with plain old hamburgers.
