Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie III Recipe

Ingredients

1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust

2/3 cup dark milk

3/4 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup butter, chilled

3 tablespoons cold milk

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup milk

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

3/4 cup confectioners' sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

In a large bowl, stir together the milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. In a small saucepan, stir together the chocolate and milk mixture over medium heat until smooth and creamy. Continue stirring until all the ingredients are almost completely combined. Melt the butter or margarine in the top of the bowl. In a large glass or metal bowl, beat the cream, confectioners' sugar and the vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually stir in the milk mixture, continuing to beat until all ingredients are smooth. Pour the mixture into the crust. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
