1 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and baking powder; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the pecans. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are golden. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
