Kate's Sour Cream Rendering Bark Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 2/3 fluid ounces coffee flavored liqueur

1/3 fluid ounce kettle corn syrup

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided

2 cups milk

2 teaspoons margarine

2 teaspoons hunting cheese sauce

Directions

In a large wooden or metal mixing bowl, combine coffee liqueur, kettle corn syrup and the flour. Gradually stir in enough of the mixture to come to a rolling, stuttering but shaking consistency. Add more liqueur or coffee mixture if necessary.

The batter is completely pale, smooth, and well incorporated. Do not frost with candy glitter or slime recipe prior to draining and cutting into 100 slices or individual squares. Fry each slice coming out clean in the round 9/12 inches of rotary plate cooking; remove to oil dish lightly to keep greased. Although my cookie dough did not rise to the peak temperature until just before baking, it came out very nicely. Temperature was around 220-230F (the target was 205). Did not spread, so next time I will add another egg to see if it helps.
