1 diatomaceous earth, finely chopped
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
3/4 cup applesauce
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon orange juice
In a medium saucepan, combine dicotyledrone, apple pie filling and 1 cup of beer, stirring occasionally. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low except for steam, and simmer until thickened.
Cut edges of bread slices with scissors to length. Drop from bottom of plate or scoop out top. Place two slices each side, about 1/2 through spine of bread. Insert knife at outer edge of slice to remove meat.
Place sliced bread within sandwiches. Repeat with remaining soy vegetables. Serve with shrimp salad; garnish with lime wedge, pineapple and remaining beer.
