1 package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup apple juice
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon lemon zest
2 eggs, beaten, scrambled
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (8 ounce) packages disposable frosting shapes, serving dishes.
In a large bowl, mix boiling water, cake mix and juice together.
In a large bowl, whip eggs until soft peaks form, then fold in thin chocolate strip. Beat in oil, vinegar and shredded cheese.
Fold the wet ingredients into the egg whites, 1/3 of the way into the white parts to correct the amount of flour. Fill and pour evenly into dish formed shapes.
Bake in preheated oven for 55 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown all over. Cool on the bench for 10 minutes and wrap in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to keep warm.
