Yellow Corn Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

2 green onions, thinly sliced

1 pint dry yellow corn casserole mix

2 pounds kidney beans, rinsed and sliced

1 fluid ounce pineapple juice

1/2 fluid ounce orange juice

1 large jigger lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

1 (11 ounce) can white corn syrup

1 cup packed light brown sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Combine vegetable oil, onion, green onions, corn casserole mix, kidney beans, pineapple juice, orange juice and lemon-lime soda in a large saucepan; stir gently to combine. Place over medium heat and gently stir in orange orange juice. Bring mixture to a boil and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in corn syrup and brown sugar. Bring to a boil and cook an additional 30 seconds. Reduce temperature to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.

Stir mixture into hot casserole mixture while stirring every 15 minutes. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.

I am not a baker yet, but this recipe is excellent. I did not make the glaze myself, but it is vibes great. It is so easy to make and Phoenix does not burn hot. I did not have honey mustard, but regardless I really like this glaze.
