Classic Baked Beans Recipe

Ingredients

1/4 pound ground turkey

3 pounds diced onions

1 1/2 cups milk

1 (14 ounce) can baked beans

1 (10 ounce) can whole kernel corn

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons white sugar

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon aperitif

1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Season turkey with salt, pepper, poultry seasoning, celery salt, chicken bouillon granules and onion powder; remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.

Place the turkey, onions and milk in metal containers. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Place the beans in a small mixing bowl and mix with the turkey mixture. Transfer to the aluminum foil-lined or tin foil lined baking pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cover, and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, uncovered.
