1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 egg yolks
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup pears, drained and sliced
1 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 9-inch glass baking dishes or large cake pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla until smooth. Beat in the sour cream, lemon and pears, until light and fluffy. Blend in the sugar, lemon juice and pears. Pour mixture into prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
