1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups corn syrup
1 cup evaporated milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large saucepan over medium heat, dissolve sugar and corn syrup. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil stewed pecans in 2 or 3 batches until completely set.
Remove pecans from oven. Rub thoroughly into cookie sheets. Drop pecans in boiling syrup mixture to make 20 cookies.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from cookie sheets to wire rack. Cool completely. Store in refrigerator.
