Mochi Doughnut Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup water

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup white sugar

1 1/3 cups fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons lemon zest

1 cup milk chocolate syrup

1 cup chocolate-coated chocolate pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 20x10 inch pan.

In a medium saucepan, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, water, sugar, milk, oil, eggs, sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest. Heat until just boiling. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

In a small bowl, mix chocolate syrup, chocolate pieces and lemon juice. Spread over cooled cake, placing lemon pieces at corners to avoid splattering. Chill in refrigerator or in airtight container.
