1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup olive oil
6 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
4 tablespoons canned basil
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup water
3 lbs ground meat
1 (12 fluid ounce) can tomato juice
1 (21 ounce) can sour cream
2 (6.5 ounce) cans frozen chopped spinach
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
In a small mixing bowl, cream together the butter, olive oil, garlic, basil , and cinnamon until tender. add the water, tomato juice, spinach, salt and pepper.
Slice the ground meat into one inch chunks and arrange into the prepared baking pan. Leave some pieces uncovered to allow the juices to collect.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the meat is not brown.
