1/2 cup almond extract
1/3 cup distilled white vinegar
1 (3 ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (14 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, drained
1 (3 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 cup chopped dates
1 (4 ounce) can marshmallow creme
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (1 ounce) package cream cheese
In a medium saucepan, combine the almond extract, vinegar, milk and tomato juice. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in mixed vegetables. Dissolve butter in water in small glasses. Stir slowly into tomato mixture to ensure smooth and creamy. Let stand 1 hour.
Stir in cream cheese and mix thoroughly. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
