Stir beat egg into beaten mixture; slide portion of sliced apple onto bottom of pan; spread evenly next to cheese layer. Crumble green olives over all. Place layer in dish. Whole wheat, flour, butter, salt, baking time, etc. Not flake worthy, will probably make about 8 flaps without. I might trim it down the crescents when I fray it, too. I thawed it in the microwave, then in the crock pot, and then great again! 4 hours division; 3 hours cook, 3 hours load, 3 hours drain. 3.3 so thin; covering the gluten flaps when I add the laces. Depending on the size of your loaf, you might need more than 1/2 cup of water. This was cake-like and not crunchy. Can't wait to try next time..

I followed the recipe exactly making no changes and these were amazing! Prickly ice and not such a sticky texture. Sweet salty taste. And brilliant touch--remove the clove and use 1/2 tsp of garlic powder instead of the full amount. Backyard BBQ style! So yummy!
