1 cup cold water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 eggs
1 tablespoon regular salt
1 cup milk
2 cups butter, melted
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 sandwiches
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup in water
4 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons honey
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). In a medium bowl, mix together water, flour, salt and baking powder. Add eggs, milk and melted butter or margarine; mix until smooth all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Line two shallow baking pans with baking sheets.
Divide dough into two parts, leaving one half. In a medium bowl,center half of one part in center of prepared pan. Then arrange two rolls of dough on each sheet pan rimmed with paper. Seal tightly.
Roll out the dough into long ropes about 1 to 2 inches long. The longer the better they will be. Starting at rim of pan, draw short curls toward the sides of the pan. Continue drawing short curls, starting from the edges and spiraling outward on even straight lines. Continue drawing until all of the short curls are curled. Place rolls on both pans touching down. Brush nuts with a little oil. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 10 minutes before serving immediately. Serve chilled with reserved 8 cups of sauce.
