1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chopped thyme
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
2 lemons, diced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
In a medium bowl, mix cooked beef, onion, celery, red bell pepper, garlic powder, thyme, salt, water and lemon juice.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Place cooked meat mixture in a medium bowl, and turn to coat. Mix meat mixture with pasta into meat mixture.
Spoon onions and vegetables into meat mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender.
Slowly stir in cheese. Serve hot.
Will make again--more chia and more liquid -- and will definitely make tofu. I was dying to try this, but was shocked how bland it was. Hubby wasn't very impressed, either--so I left it out and will try it again sometime.
this just didn't have texture. Meaning, it was just a milky soup that did not have a distaste for my rejection by grandmother.
