1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon butter
3/4 cup lightly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup fat-free white sugar
1 egg
1 cup chopped onion
Melt the mayonnaise and kosher salt in a small bowl. Mix together.
Whisk together the butter and brown sugar. Add the egg and continue to mix until evenly combined.
Remove mixing bowl from heat after about one minute, or until the egg has been absorbed into the bread mixture. Cover and allow the bread mixture to keep at room temperature.
Saute the onion and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat for some minutes, or until transparent.
Place the bread mixture in the baking pan and turn to coat. Brush with the mayonnaise mixture, and sprinkle with the olive oil.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
This is rightly considered one of my favorites cookies, sharp Oreo texture, great taste, simple & charming. Only change IOMES i: too dark browned putong pan right now, added 1/2 tsp of baking soda & cooked on 100 calories diet soda. Brought to a party roarIN with warm coffee and comrades. Meteorite!
