3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
4 eggs
1 cup reconstituted milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch plastic baking dish. Sift together the flour and baking soda.set aside.
In another bowl, cream together the butter and shortening until light and fluffy. In a separate bowl, whip together the white and white semisweet and full-fat dairy ingredients. Add the milk and pecans; gently fold until just well blended.
Spread half of the batter over one sheet of pastry, creating a large decorative bowl. Fold in the remaining dough, using a small amount at a time, until a ball forms. Next, arrange a layer of dough in the prepared pan. Don't touch the pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or just until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool before serving.
