3 1/2 cups chopped chocolate
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (1 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup heavy cream
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Chop the chocolate nuts in the center and place in the bottom of a glass serving dish. Sprinkle powdered sugar and pecans over the chocolate pieces.
Melt the butter in a large bowl. Mix in the sugar and eggs, beat together until smooth. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the pudding mix and butter. Pour mixture into the chilled chocolate pieces.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Remove from baking pan to wire rack. Cool for 5 minutes, then remove from pan. Cool completely.
